The Billker lab has contributed to a paper in Elife which marks the lauch of the Malaria Cell Atlas by our colleages at the Sanger Institute. Adam Reid and Arthur Talmann are the lead authors and Mara Lawniczak is the Sanger Investigator behind the project. The atlas will provide a one stop shop for single cell RNA-sequencing data from different Plasmodium species and stages, as well as Anopheles and mammalian host tissues that play a role in the parasite’s lifecyce. We are planning to contribute lots of data! Alex Cagan has produced the artwork to mark the occasion.
